Saw an SBTRUST Seal?
When you see a site that is displaying one of our seals then you should click on it and
verify the following three items:
1. The seal links to the SBTRUST back-end processor hosted
at ASPNetLink.com. This system is managed by the owner of SBTRUST.
2. The domain and company stated in the seal message correctly matches the
information at the web site where the seal was located.
3. The message indicates that the company's SBTRUST subscription is Active. No services
are provided for inactive companies as their information may no longer be valid.

SBTRUST is a Trust Assurance Service that focuses on the small business community. By using the
SBTRUST services you can be sure of quality support when conducting commerce with
our subscribers. All SBTRUST
services are provided to consumers at no cost. Note, we do not provide advocacy or other services to firms that are non-subscribers.
Please read about our basic services available at no charge for interacting with our subscribing firms:
COMMUNICATIONS
If you want to ensure that your correspondence with a subscriber company is being logged by a third-party for
later confirmation then there are two services which may be used:
1. The E-Mail Logging Service provides an e-mail address to which you
can CC or BCC correspondence. E-Mail received by this address will be timestamped and stored for later retrieval
and authentication.
2. The Message Forwarding Service operated by the Cyber-Cop Network team will
accept your correspondence; timestamp and store it; and then forward it to the requested subscriber.
The point of registering your communications is to have a digital paper trail of your correspondence so that you can
verify your actions.
All mail forwarding is handled by the Cyber-Cop Network.
Remember that the SBTRUST services are only available for dealing with SBTRUST subscribers. Visit the Advocacy Portal for assistance with non-subscribers.
PRE-ORDERING SUPPORT
SBTRUST provides a Policy Confirmation Service which serves as a middle-person
between a potential client and a company. This enables a customer to obtain clarification, with anonymity, of a
firm's policies.
The Contact Verification Service can be used to verify that a subscribing firm
can be contacted. This service is useful when it is necessary to determine whether a web site is representing a company that is still alive and active.
POST-TRANSACTION SUPPORT
In addition to the communication registration methods, customers can request Advocacy
Support in resolving a dispute with an SBTRUST subscriber. Normally, a customer should attempt to work out
a situation with a vendor but often it is useful to have a third-party intervene early in a dispute to ensure the situation
does not get prolonged or otherwise over-heated.
Regardless of whether you had a good or experience with an SBTRUST subscriber, we would appreciate your anonymous
feedback.
SEAL PROGRAMS
The SBTRUST Seal Programs are a means for providing information to
potential clients. SBTRUST subscribers voluntarily participate in Seal Programs.
These programs are concerned with:
Privacy: The SBTRUST Privacy Guarantee Program requires a firm to provide certain rights to
their customers including the right to have their
information removed from any database(s) that the company maintains. Privacy Policies involved in this program are monitored, captured and registered every day so that there is a means of authenticating their content.
Performance Rating: The SBTRUST Rating Program allows customers to rate three aspects of
a company. The ratings can be found by clicking the Rating Seal or checking the subscriber's status.
Monitoring: Firms that have SBTRUST monitor their web pages can indicate this with a Policy Monitoring Seal. This tells the customer that the contents of a particular web page, such as a return policy or refund policy,
can be authenticated at a later date through SBTRUST.
Data Protection: Companies that participate in the Data Protection Guarantee Program are required to meet high standards
in the protection of personal data on their servers.
